The History of the House
Hotel Hirlanda in Zürs has a long-standing tradition. The history of today’s 4-star hotel began in the 1930s as a small guesthouse in the emerging village of Zürs.
When Austria’s first ski lift was opened in 1938, the number of visitors to Zürs quickly increased. The guesthouse also benefited from the growing winter sports tourism.
Through continuous expansions and renovations, the small guesthouse transformed into Hotel Hirlanda in the 1970s—a 4-star hotel that has preserved its charm and character.
Where does the name Hirlanda come from?
From the very beginning, the hotel has been firmly in the hands of the Wille family. The name also traces back to the family, as the hotel was named after the great-grandmother. To this day, her spirit continues to shape the essence of Hotel Hirlanda.
